Reverend Irving has also shared with us some information of some courses and of pastoral support from Holy Trinity, Redditch.

Pastoral Support

This is an unsettling time for us all. We are experiencing uncertainty, anxiety and our circumstances may be changing as we navigate a difficult season in our lives and the world.  The Church of England is present in every community and offers sympathetic and non-judgemental pastoral support to all, regardless of your faith or none.  If you would like to explore this, please email care@HolyTrinityRedditch@outlook.com

Please also find below details of some courses:

The Alpha Course

The Alpha Course is an opportunity to explore the Christian Faith and share your point of view, regardless of your background. It’s a series of sessions that explore the big questions of life, faith and meaning like “Who is Jesus?” and “Why and how should I pray?”  The course is free and will be running online, starting on Monday 1st June, 7.30pm.  If you would like to sign up, please contact RevPaulLawlor@holytrinityredditch.org.uk

Discipleship Explored

Discipleship Explored is a course for Christians young and old to turn up the gospel soundtrack to their lives.

It goes beyond simply teaching the right moves – go to church, pray, read the Bible, share the gospel – and focuses on the music which drives discipleship: the love of Christ.  The greatest love anyone can ever know.

This eight-session journey through Paul’s letter to the Philippians is ideal for believers at any stage of the Christian life. It features brand-new documentary-style films and inspiring real-life stories from around the world, Bible studies and weekly reading plans, and a beautifully redesigned Handbook.  The course is free and will begin on Thursday 14 May at 7.00pm.  If you would like to sign up, please contact RevPaulIrving@holytrinityredditch.org.uk

  Religious Education (R.E.)

Subject Leader: Miss Mazgajczyk

At Moon’s Moat First School we teach Religious Education (RE) using the Worcestershire Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education.

The principle aim of RE is to engage pupils in systematic enquiry into significant human questions which religion and worldviews address, so that they can develop the understanding and skills needed to appreciate and appraise varied responses to these questions, as well as develop responses of their own.

At Moon’s Moat Nursery and First School, children learn about religions and worldviews in local, national and global contexts. Through this subject, children will develop respect, tolerance, acceptance, knowledge and understanding of their own and others’ beliefs. Developing these attributes will enable children to develop their ideas, values and identity.

Please read the Worcestershire Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education document below to find details of the scheme of work along with the progression of skills, planning and assessment information.

Children from Nursery to Year 4 also learn about different celebrations and festivals. Please click below to see how Religious Education is incorporated within the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
