Eco Schools

Our Eco-school committee is made up of 8 children in Key Stage Two. We meet several times a half term to discuss different issues we are working on to improve our environment.

Mrs Burgoyne is our Eco Schools leader.

Our Eco Code: 

Everyone needs to work together to save world!

No rubbish should be left on the floor,

Value our wildlife,

If nobody is in a room, turn the light off!

Recycle glass, plastic, cardboard and paper,

Orange peel and food waste can be composted,

Never leave litter lying around,

Make sure you keep our environment clean,

Effort is needed to be eco-friendly,

Never leave taps on,

The children are in charge of ensuring everyone is being eco-friendly and they take their job very seriously!

One of our first jobs is to complete a  Environmental Review of the school. We already know that there are lots of things we are doing really well, such as encouraging healthy eating and recycling our paper, but we are hoping to get even better at lots of other things too!

In the term ahead we are focusing on Energy and are looking at different ways we could reduce energy waste.
