Welcome to Year 4!
In year 4 our teacher is Mrs Beddow. Our teaching assistants are Mrs Blake and Miss Lees.
This half term our topic is
Sustainability
We are going to be looking at enviromental issues and thinking about what we can do to become more eco-friendly. We will be looking at big and small changes that can make a positive difference to our planet.
This half term, we will also be talking a lot about transition to middle schools and getting ready to perform our end of year play 'The Leavers Show' to our families in the last week of term.

This half term out PE days will be Monday and Friday. Children can attend school wearing PE kit on these days. We will also be swimming on Thursdays.
Homework
We expect children to read at least 4 times each week. Children should bring their reading diary in each day.
We will also set a piece of homework each Friday, to be handed in by the following Friday. This should support the learning we have been doing in the classroom.
We also continue to learn spellings and times tables each week.
At the end of the half term, we will reward children who have read and completed their homework consistently.
