Welcome to Year 4!
In year 4 our teacher is Mrs Beddow. Our teaching assistants are Mrs Blake, Miss Jones and Mrs Ellison.
This half term our topic is
Ancient Egypt
This half term, we will be looking at where Egypt is located, how Egyptians built the pyramids, how they mummified their pharaohs and learning about the daily lives in Ancient Egyptian times.

This half term our PE days will be Tueday (Swimming) and Thursday. Children can attend school wearing PE kit on these days.
Homework
We expect children to read at least 4 times each week. Children should bring their reading diary in each day.
We will also set a piece of homework each Friday, to be handed in by the following Friday. This should support the learning we have been doing in the classroom.
We also continue to learn spellings and times tables each week.
At the end of the half term, we will reward children who have read and completed their homework consistently.

You could also conduct your own research into our current topic. Could you create a poster or a powerpoint to demonstrate some of the facts you have learnt?
Children can also use their log ins to TTRS, Purple Mash and Nessy (if they have an account) to access further learning opportunities.
